Blacked is the name of an art installation I presented at the Vanderborght exhibition space in Brussels. Visitors were invited to stop the exhibition tour which only featured conceptual works, put on headphones that played only silence and walk through a black curtain to find themselves alone in a pitch black empty room. The purpose was to question the spectator's reflex to understand the message conveyed by an artwork when sometimes there is none. In this case the absence of message was the message. In addition to these pompous intentions, the pleasure was above all to add to the chaos of the world by throwing people into darkness and confusion.
